The Islamic Society of the Cayman Islands

Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "I command you to do five things: to maintain the community, to listen, to obey, to emigrate, and to fight in Allah's cause. He who secedes from the community as much as a span has cast off the tie of Islam from his neck unless he returns, and he who summons to what the pre-Islamic people believed belongs to the assemblies of Jahannam even if he fasts, prays, and asserts that he is a Muslim."

1st Monthly Social Event 2003

In our continued effort to unite the Muslim Community of the Cayman Islands, the Executive Committee decided on having monthly social events.
These monthly events are put on with the intention of bringing the muslims of the Cayman Islands together once a month in an islamic atmosphere to learn from each other and to encourage each other to Islam.

The first monthly social event was held on February 1st, 2003 at the South Sound Community Centre. The social was hosted by Brother Muzaffar and his family together with Brother Moctar and his family.

The evening started with a short talk given by brother Muzzafar followed by Reading of the Holy Qu'ran by the children of the Islamic School progarmme. Following this the children of the Islamic School did Qu'ran recitation as a group. Isha Salaat was performed and the evening concluded with dinner.

Insha Allah this endeavour will continue.
